Due to our continued success and growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join our established and friendly team based in Liverpool as we invite applications for highly motivated Furniture & Product Installer/Fitter to join our team.
The successful candidate will have experience of using both carpentry and joinery skills with ability to think on their feet and make value contribution to the team. The Furniture & Product Installer/Fitter role requires a candidate who is a self-starter, ambitious and has the drive to succeed in delivering the Go-Green vision to our clients. They most problem solving, working with and meeting people and have a hard working ethic. This a fantastic opportunity to further your professional career in a fast growing and dynamic industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience within joinery, carpentry and/or direct furniture fitting and installation
- Strong team worker with ability to ‘pitch in’ for end-to-end
- Time Management is critical in this role and keeping to promises you will make to clients
- Ability to lift and carry furniture from our Go Green Site to clients (loading, unloading, etc).
- Ability to learn new skills on the job and willingness to learn about new products and techniques
- Be able to resolve issues and deal with pressure (due to issues sometimes outside of our control)
- Be able to speak with clients respectfully, with honesty, integrity and always putting the clients needs first
- Self starters who can stay motivated throughout the job from start to finish
- Attend relevant networking events to support the Go Green brand
Furniture Assembler Skills and Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
Must Have Skills
Furniture assembly – use a variety of tools and materials to assemble components of furniture pieces.
Carpentry skills – our furniture assemblers use both hand and power tools to set, shape, and attach metal and wooden elements of furniture pieces and make small repairs as needed (Second hand furniture)
Ability to learn about new products – our products are constantly evolving, hence you need to have the ability to think on your feet and have an agile mind to think about different methods and ideas all the time
Accountable, focused with Attention to detail – ability to follow designers’ plans and specifications to assemble furniture pieces to match manufacturers specifications
Team collaboration – some of our installations are large, so you will ne required to work as a team. You are individual, so people will respect your working practises, but likewise you must be adaptable to other peoples ways too.
Safety skills – you must have aware and knowledge of safety protocols and best practices to help Go Green maintain a safe and accident-free workplace
Stamina and resilience – this role will involve standing and lifting heavy furniture elements throughout the day, so you will need high energy and stamina
Problem Solving – whilst we try to get things right as a priority, that doesn’t always happen. Sometimes you have to think through and find solutions quickly to meet deadlines
Communication: Proactive, positive and confident attitude with excellent relationship building skills
Good organisation, planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritise orders and work schedules
Self-driven and have the ability to work both as part of a team and on their own
Work under pressure and flexibly around clients working hours (this is not always a 9-5 job; working sometimes out of hours is required)
Full driving license is an essential requirement
